I have been seeking lap band surgery since Dec. of 2006. Just got approval in June from my insurance (United Healthcare) and had my bloodtest comeback showing an iron deficiency. So I have had a colonoscopy and endoscopy in the last few weeks to rule out any internal blood loss. So far everything has checked out fine. I swallowed the camera pill yesterday. It will show them the small intestines. Next week I will get the results of that test and go back to my PCP to hopefully be released to go forward with the lap band surgery. I'm 56 years old. No children. Been married to my wonderful husband David for 17 years. And have a 20 pound cat Boudreaux, who is diabetic, and two big rescue dogs, Max a golden retriever/german shepard mix, and Rusty, a chow/australian shepard mix. I live in suburban Houston, Texas, in the country (as much as you can be in the country around Houston). My husband and I are active in our church and are Emmaus members of the Houston North Emmaus Community, De Colores. We like to travel,
camp and cruise and both believe that a strong faith, good friends and a sense of humor are some of the best things in life.
