Hello, I'm Kailey! I'm a 21 yr. old female! For as long as I can remember, I have been overweight. I tried many different things but nothing seemed to work and keep the weight off. I heard a lot about the lap band procedure and started doing research. I was a little skeptical at first but after going to my initial consultation all of my fears were pretty much put behind me and I was excited for what may lie ahead. It amazingly only took less than a week for my insurance to approve my case, which is awesome, because some people it takes months and months and many rejections. I am scheduled to have my surgery on February 7th, 2007 and I couldn't be more excited. I am still not sure how to react to what may lie ahead and changing my eating habits and giving up some of the food I love, but I am ready to make the change and bring out a new me!
