May 05, 2010

So Mom is in  the hospital and I need all of my prayer warrior friends to please pray. I know it has been a while and I know that God has led me in a different direction but know that I pray daily for all of you. Seasons. God keeps saying this word to me. Seasons. I was here for a season but He know has different plans for me. May God bless you and keep you

Not Guilty emailShare

This was originally posted by Mandisa on my facebook page. I love her music and had to share this with you.

Today at 12:17am
Many of you who have seen me sing "Not Guilty" live have asked me for a copy of the following story. Matthew West, Sam Mizell, and I wrote "Not Guilty" after I shared this email I had received with them. I was so moved by the grace and forgiveness of God that I wanted to put this very moving story to music. That writing session was so powerful it left one of us in tears (hint: it wasn't me)! Hope you enjoy!

My Attorney

After living what I felt was a 'decent' life, my time on earth came to the end. The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of what I thought to be a court house. The doors opened and I was instructed to come in and have a seat by the defense table. As I looked around I saw the 'prosecutor.' He was a villainous looking gent who snarled as he stared at me. He definitely was the most evil person I have ever seen. I sat down and looked to my left and there sat My Attorney, a kind and gentle looking man whose appearance seemed so familiar to me, I felt I knew Him. The corner door flew open and there appeared the Judge in full flowing robes. He commanded an awesome presence and as He moved across the room I couldn't take my eyes off of Him. As He took His seat behind the bench, He said, 'Let us begin.' The prosecutor rose and said, 'My name is Satan and I am here to show you why this woman belongs in hell.' He proceeded to tell of lies that I told, things that I stole, and in the past when I cheated others. Satan told of other horrible perversions that were once in my life and the more he spoke, the further down in my seat I sank. I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at anyone, even my own Attorney, as the Devil told of sins that even I had completely forgotten about. As upset as I was at Satan for telling all these things about me, I was equally upset at My Attorney who sat there silently not offering any form of defense at all. I know I had been guilty of those things, but I had done some good in my life - couldn't that at least equal out part of the harm I'd done? Satan finished with a fury and said, 'This woman belongs in hell, she is guilty of all that I have charged and there is not a person who can prove otherwise. When it was His turn, My Attorney first asked if He might approach the bench. The Judge allowed this over the strong objection of Satan, and beckoned Him to come forward. As He got up and started walking, I was able to see Him in His full splendor and majesty. I realized why He seemed so familiar; this was Jesus representing me, my Lord and my Savior. He stopped at the bench and softly said to the Judge, 'Hi, Dad,' and then He turned to address the court. 'Satan was correct in saying that this woman had sinned, I won't deny any of these allegations. And, yes, the wage of sin is death, and this woman deserves to be punished.' Jesus took a deep breath and turned to His Father with outstretched arms and proclaimed, 'However, I died on the cross so that this person might have eternal life and she has accepted Me as her Savior, so she is Mine. Her name is written in the book of life and no one can snatch her from Me. Satan still does not understand yet. This woman is not to be given justice, but rather mercy.' As Jesus sat down, He quietly paused, looked at His Father and said, 'There is nothing else that needs to be done. I've done it all.' The Judge lifted His mighty hand and slammed the gavel down. The following words bellowed from His lips... “The penalty for this woman has already been paid in full. Case dismissed. This woman is free.”

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV)

Psalm 19:14 Ecc 3:11

Jan 18, 2010

 14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
         Be acceptable in Your sight,
         O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end NKJV

11-14 There's more: God's Word warns us of danger
      and directs us to hidden treasure.
   Otherwise how will we find our way?
      Or know when we play the fool?
   Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh!
      Keep me from stupid sins,
      from thinking I can take over your work;
   Then I can start this day sun-washed,
      scrubbed clean of the grime of sin.
   These are the words in my mouth;
      these are what I chew on and pray.
   Accept them when I place them
      on the morning altar,
   O God, my Altar-Rock,
      God, Priest-of-My-Altar. The message

The Message (MSG)
9-13
But in the end, does it really make a difference what anyone does? I've had a good look at what God has given us to do—busywork, mostly. True, God made everything beautiful in itself and in its time—but he's left us in the dark, so we can never know what God is up to, whether he's coming or going. I've decided that there's nothing better to do than go ahead and have a good time and get the most we can out of life. That's it—eat, drink, and make the most of your job. It's God's gift.

So I am so excited that the bible study I go to started again. I love it. The leader is so annointed. We are expanding on the study we took in the fall. Me Myself and Lies.

Psalm 19:14 is the main verse of the study.
She brought an acronym out that I had forgetten about I want to share with you.
CLOSET:
C is for care and concerns, we are human we all have them things we care about things we are concerned about, Do not let them turn into worry.
L is for likes and dislikes we all have them but do not let them stop you from His work or stop you from being obediant. God will take you out of your comfort zone
O objectives and goals Are they yours or God's
S secrets and treasures. Do you hide them away and they become rancid do not let that happen This is not a invitation to air our dirty laundry but be obediant in Him and do not let our secrects keep us from doing His work.
E ETERNITY: God says Ecc 3:11 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end NKJV Is eternity in our hearts? Do we know that and do we work on that?  God wants to dwell in us and in our hearts do we let Him.
T treasures Are the "treasures" I have Godly is it all about Him or do I allow them to be destructive.

I love this acronym and I pray this finds you all well and that these are some questions that quicken you today.

May God bless you and keep you

Psalm 55:17 and 94:9

Jan 17, 2010

17 Evening and morning and at noon
         I will pray, and cry aloud,
         And He shall hear my voice.

 9 He who planted the ear, shall He not hear?
         He who formed the eye, shall He not see? NKJV

 16-19 I call to God;
      God will help me.
   At dusk, dawn, and noon I sigh
      deep sighs—he hears, he rescues.
   My life is well and whole, secure
      in the middle of danger
   Even while thousands
      are lined up against me.
   God hears it all, and from his judge's bench
      puts them in their place.
   But, set in their ways, they won't change;
      they pay him no mind.  The message

 8-11 Well, think again, you idiots,
      fools—how long before you get smart?
   Do you think Ear-Maker doesn't hear,
      Eye-Shaper doesn't see?
   Do you think the trainer of nations doesn't correct,
      the teacher of Adam doesn't know?
   God knows, all right—
      knows your stupidity,
      sees your shallowness.

The Message (MSG)

So the message is a little harsh today. But then again sometimes we need to be slapped in the face with a message before we get it. So what does this say to us about our thought closets. What do you meditate on? Your faults, your weaknesses, others faults and weaknesses or God's greatness, mercy, love, kindness and grace. Does God care about what you think and meditate on? He sure does. He wants us to be healthy, happy, and blessed. When I read these verses the first time I did not see what I see now. As you all know the trials at work are under way full force. I think about what is in my head when I am going through this. I now think about what a Mountaintop I am heading for when this is all done. God is so good and His glory is all I should be thinking about, not what this is doing to me. It is making me stronger. With God I can win this battle but I must put my mind, strength, body, soul, and spirit in Him and I will be victorious because He will be victorious. My victory is His victory. If He is victorious I am. Their is a song I do not know who sings it, But it says, " The voice of truth says this is for my glory I will listen and believe the voice of truth." The Lord hears you and listens to you and as long as you are looking to honor Him and all you do and are is all about His glory you can do no wrong.

May God bless you and keep you today and everyday

Matthew 6:25-32

Jan 13, 2010

Do Not Worry
25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. NKJV

Meditate on These Things
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. NKJV

Thank you so much for all the prayers today. They so worked my God is so good all the time.
So how about not worrying about our food. It says do not worry not do not plan. God will take care of all our needs if we let Him. It does not mean that we can do what we want when we want. It takes discipline to lose weight, get closer to God, succeed in anything we want to. God says put your mind and thoughts on Him and He will take care of the rest.
Phillipians 4: 8 says that we should fill our thought closet and meditate on things God. He is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, good report, virtueous and praisworthy. These are the things we should put in our thought closet. What is their in yours today.

May God bless you and keep you.

I have no words

Jan 12, 2010

ost Date: 1/13/10 2:35 am
I was not going to post this morning running to a prayer meeting but God has other plans for me. I did not sleep well last night because my work situation is coming to a head. I know what I must do but I am not convinced my head just yet. The Lord will take care of me and I so need Him to speak through me today. Please pray that He will speak through me and He will be glorified through this whole situation. I know this is the end of something and the start of something new. One of my spirtual mentors said to me Saturday " Your day of authority in Jesus is coming and You and God will cherish that day in Him" I so know that He has to be the center and the meaning of my life. Michael English has a song " It feels like Redemption" I love that song and as I am wrtiting this it is on and I know that I need to turn this feeling of being pulled in 2  different directions being loyal and being a good and faithful servant to God and being loyal to my employers who are humans and can not do for me what God can. I need to take this feeling and make it feel like redemption instead of turmoil. I know right now I am babbling but so needed to speak this out( or type it out) to have it make sense to me. Thanks for listening. I am praying to the Holy Spirit to come down and speak through me today, not my words but My Father's words. Thank you.
May God bless you and keep you

Luke 2:19

Jan 10, 2010

Post Date: 1/11/10 3:32 am
19
But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 NKJV
 19-20Mary kept all these things to herself, holding them dear, deep within herself. The sheepherders returned and let loose, glorifying and praising God for everything they had heard and seen. It turned out exactly the way they'd been told!  The mesage
Psalm 119:99 NKJV  99 I have more understanding than all my teachers,
         For Your testimonies are my meditation.
97-104 Oh, how I love all you've revealed;
      I reverently ponder it all the day long.
   Your commands give me an edge on my enemies;
      they never become obsolete.
   I've even become smarter than my teachers
      since I've pondered and absorbed your counsel.
   I've become wiser than the wise old sages
      simply by doing what you tell me.
   I watch my step, avoiding the ditches and ruts of evil
      so I can spend all my time keeping your Word.
   I never make detours from the route you laid out;
      you gave me such good directions.
   Your words are so choice, so tasty;
      I prefer them to the best home cooking.
   With your instruction, I understand life;
      that's why I hate false propaganda.  The Message

So what do you do to keep His word in your heart. Do you meditate on it like Mary? Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could? What do you think about to bring Him to mind?
I attended a training class at my church Friday and Saturday. It was for me to get a little taste of Ancient Paths from family Foundations International Craig Hill's ministry. I so was just empty going in their and so mediatated on what God wanted and was never so blessed in my life. I recommend to all of you when you go before God wether in your daily devotions or when you go to church empty yourself first. It is all about Him. John 5:19 is my new motto 19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. It is all about what my Father does. May God bless you and keep you.
Keep this in mind: The longer and the more you pressin to our Father the more you learn and the more you grow. Meditate on His word and He will light your path.

Isaiah 55:8-9

Jan 07, 2010

Post Date: 1/8/10 3:25 am
How is everyone today? Tressa got her date AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I pray this finds you well today. Yesterday we talked about keeping our mind fixed on Him. Today we will look at the fact that God's mind is so much higher than ours.

Isaiah 55:8-9
New King James Version (NKJV)

8 “ For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
      Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.
       9 “ For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
      So are My ways higher than your ways,
      And My thoughts than your thoughts.

New King James Version (NKJV
The Message (MSG)

 8-11"I don't think the way you think.
   The way you work isn't the way I work."
         God's Decree.
"For as the sky soars high above earth,
   so the way I work surpasses the way you work,
   and the way I think is beyond the way you think.
Just as rain and snow descend from the skies
   and don't go back until they've watered the earth,
Doing their work of making things grow and blossom,
   producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry,
So will the words that come out of my mouth
   not come back empty-handed.
They'll do the work I sent them to do,
   they'll complete the assignment I gave them.

So we know that God is so much better at this life thing than we are. Do we rely on
 Him to help us? Do we focus on Him like Psalm 119 says to do? When you talk to yourself do you talk about Godly things. Do you talk to God when you talk to yourself? Did you ever think to turn the thoughts you have every second of the day into prayer? I tried this. It is not easy. You have to filter what you are thinking. If it is negative can you pray for that? When I am calling myself stupid can I pray that? Things to think about today.

Please keep all of us in your prayers. Mendy is still not feeling well. May God bless you and keep you

Colossians 3:2

Jan 06, 2010

So the enemy is so attacking me so I know that this series is so what one of you needs to hear. Thanking God I have been able to do it. I worked at church last night and got in late so I could not post last night and then this morning overslept. The enemy will even use my church activities to attacke me.

Colossians 3:2 The message
He Is Your Life
 1-2 So if you're serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that's where the action is. See things from his perspective.

2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.NKJV
so do we do this. Do we set our minds on Him in all we do? Do we have WLS for Him or ourselves? Do we want to be healthy to work better for Him? Just a quick thought today. Meditate on Him today and then see how much better your day is.

May God bless you and keep you.
