I went to the doctor on Sept 14th and weighed in at 391lbs..... I got on the scale this morning and I weighed...................381!! I have 10lbs somewhere!!!! LOL...PLUS...I'm carrying a little extra weight because of the lovely TOM, and still have 10lb loss!!
My scales are accurate with the doctors, so I know it's true!! I just can't believe it!! :) I've just basically quit worring about the weight. I'm eating what I should and doing what exercises that this old body will allow me and have dropped more weight then when I'm actually counting and worry about every little bite I put in my mouth!
anyways...I just wanted to share this with my new friends :)

I called about a spend down medical card yester day and I was told, Yes, we do base the spend down on your income that you make versus what you spend, BUT..... you still have to be either under 18, have a child under 18, be declared disabled, blind or over 65... Um.... If I had those qualifications.....I'd just apply for a medical card and NOT worry about the spend down!

so I'll start my first blog here.
I'm a slacker when it comes to blogging, although I know that it's good to do so.
Right now, I'm just trying to run down leads on getting some assistance in paying for my WL surgery. Not looking good so far, but I'm not giving up. this is something my doctor said I have to do and I know I need and want this. I've wanted in for 3 years. My first time around, I had insurance, but they didn't pay for any weight loss surgery of any kind... now I have no insurance and can't get a medical card because I meet their qualifications of either being pregnant, disabled, blind or over 65 which makes me so mad. Just because I'm not any of these things, doesn't mean that I'm not a person and doesn't mean that I don't deserve some medical insurance of some kind.
I don't see how they can make such requirements. I understand the income thing, but hubby and I are both laid off, we fully qualify on income, just not these petty little issues.
