"I had my surgery in 2006 which was the Roux N Y. It worked for six years. Then I developed an unconditional hernia that had to be repaired. So I had a second open incision and a mesh placed in 2012. One of the stitches ended up on a nerve in my abdomen and it took four months of intense pain before Dr. Randall told me what it was. He kept trying to inject a long acting anesthetic onto the nerve which did not work. I finally had to have a third surgery and again it was an open incision. The latter two surgeries were in Natick and I never thought twice about why not Medford. After each surgery I found him.less responsive; after the last surgery he never even saw me in the day surgery recovery room. Whatever he did in the last surgery, my bypass never worked again. I had no set point like I did before and have gained weight. I now have to try and find a surgeon and hopefully figure out what I can do next."
