I had gastric sleeve surgery on 8/2/2012 with Dr. Fernando Garcia in Tijuana, Mx and as of 8/2/2014 have lost 170 lbs. I have stabilized at this weight for the last 6 months or so. I would really love to lose another 10-15 lbs, but they say those are always the hardest and if I did not lose any more I would be perfectly happy with my weight and body now...in clothes that is!
I have known I have wanted to have a breast lift/augmentation for years, even before my WLS. I thought maybe I wanted other things too like lower body lift, arms, etc but have struggled with the cost and all that goes along with that kind of surgery (time off work, recovery, etc). But, as I have realized even after losing all of this weight I am still embarrassed to get in a bathing suit and still look for those that hide everything possible, still dont like to see myself naked and certainly do not like my husband to see me.
I realized it was time to start looking into plastics to finally make my body one that I was not ashamed of and get rid of the skin hanging in places it just shouldnt be. I am just simply looking to wear tank tops and not have to try so hard at finding the perfect bathing suit to cover every flaw, wrinkle and stretch mark I have.
As of today, I am confident I would like for Dr. Saucedo to be the plastic surgeon that makes all of this become a reality thanks to this board and other research I have done. I am looking at this point to have surgery possibly next June. My husband would go with me and he is a teacher, so he would need to be off for the summer. As well as be able to be home with me for recovery. I have sent my pictures to the good dr and we shall see what he has to say so we can begin financial preparations.
