I'm on my way!!

It's been a long time since I have posted on here. I have since then gained more weight and started having major problems with my body. My legs gave out on me and started having pains run through my body for no reason. I gave up on wls because I couldn't afford to pay for the surgery on my own so it was like I had lost all hope. Well I finally decided to get me some insurance because my place of employment does not offer insurance it's expensive, but well worth it. I started my new journey to WLS on Feb 28th, 2009. My mother and I attended Dr. Gibs seminar and I was so excited, walking out of that seminar room I had tears running down my face. This was my start to a better life and I couldnt believe that I finally had insurance to cover me. I felt like a million bucks!!! I recieved my letter from Dr. Gibbs on the March 11, 2009, stating that my approval letter was sent to my insurance company. I called the insurance company a week later and was told that they dont require pre approval letters for WLS I just need to be within policy guidelines for surgery. On Thursday, March 26, 2009, I emailed Carrie, Dr. Gibbs nurse, and asked her if my letter was correct or was I misunderstanding it and she told me that I am within guidelines and that I should recieve a phone call letting me know how much I would have to pay up front, if any, and I will go from there.  I wish everyone knew the joy I felt I just dropped my head on my desk and cried. I never thought in a million years that I would hear those words. I know now that my journey has finally started and I am truly on my way, and I wont let anyone stop me!!!!!!!
