Clark J. Simons

"These were my personal experiences and I am in no way making a statement about what others may experience or the professional abilities of my dr. He was not really personable or friendly during any of my meetings with him. I knew going into it that there is always a possibility of being converted from lap to open, but was told it was a minimal possibility considering my BMI was within the range of lap procedures and I had never had any prior surgeries so there was no scar tissue to deal with. During surgery my dr knicked my spleen and pouch then had to convert me from lap to open. Dr Simons was very vague when discussing the complications w/ my husband. I was left with a very large and lopsided scar. My stoma closed up a few months after surgery and I got the run around by the dr's office and the hospital and actually ended up hospitalized because it took them almost a week before they ever scheduled the endoscopy and by that time I was so closed up and dehydrated they couldn't do the procedure the normal way. On all of my follow up appts he wasn't available and his partner ended up seeing me instead. I have since switched doctors."

"The nursing staff was fabulous!! They were always there when I needed them and were very helpful. The bathroom could have been better. It was tiny (not meant for big people at all.) and the sink would not stop dripping. "
