"I would NEVER recommend Dwayne Smith for any type of surgery. I had gastric bypass at Vanderbilt in January 2008 and that went great. However I started having gall stone attacks in November 2009. Dr. Smith was recommended by the ER doctor. I met with him and had some reservations due to his affect and his bed side manner (which are both horrible). He took a simple procedure and botched it. He cut my bile duct without realizing it. Therefore causing an entire year of having to have a tube in my side at all times to try to help the duct close on it's own. Finally in July 2010, the doctors at another hosptial trying to fix me decided that I had to take another course of action because there was too much damage done by Smith. Needless to say I had to have part of my liver removed to fix the problem.
