Linda, Yes indeedy, I know I feel the same way. I worry about "head hunger" after the surgery. I am having any RNY-Fobi, so I know I will have to be quite vigilent about my intake. I have contacted a therapist to help me cope with issues after the surgery. (Guess that's because I am a therapist..lol) As far as the proximal and distal, I think that is the amount of intestine bypassed. I am not positive, but I think proximal is for "lightweights" and distal is for those of us with more to love. If you find out anything more, let me know. Hugs,
