Yes I had the same trouble. I lived on chicken noodle soup for a long time. I did lose weight pretty fast at first.Just try to get down what you can, if it makes you sick lay off of it for a while then try again. Im 8 1/2 months out and down 132lbs and 55 years old.Some people were eating chilly from Wendys right away, there was no way I could. I still have to tell myself to eat. At first I was never hungery, now it takes all day to get that way,I eat twice a day.Just give it time and try to eat what you can, it will get better slowly.My Doc said just make sure you get enough water in, he didnt push the protein drinks at all. Angel flying in for a crash landing! I got to talk to Lisa yesterday for a while and she sounded absolutely wonderful!! She made it through surgery without any complications and is now home safe and sound. I had to neglect my angel duties while I was recovering from my surgery and complications, so I am so happy to see that Lisa's surgery page was filled with well wishes. She's a great person and I'm blessed to know her. Way to go, Lisa!!!!!

Well, I did it! I got home yesterday after my lap rny. I can't tell you how good it feels to be in my own house...Anyway, things went pretty well except when they gave me the stuff for the leak test...ewwwww! Made me sick for the whole day. Oh well. Small price to pay! Thanks to everyone who sent me such wonderful words of encouragement! Good luck to you all!
