My Surgery

Nov 27, 2009

Surgery went well on November 18th. I have not had any complications at all. I stopped taking my pain medication 5 days after surgery. The fluid in my stomach and the swelling has gone away about 90%. I cooked a eight course meal for Thanks Giving and I introduced my stomach to some new foods. I had liquified cornish hen, green beans and potatoes and some liquidfied dressing with chicken broth. Now, I definitely could not eat alot but I did eat my protein first then two hours later I had some vegetables and two hours later I ate the dressing. It took approximately six hours to finish my entire meal. The doctor has not moved me officially to stage 4 yet, but I the foods I ate were liquified in a blender and they were on my stage 4 list. I pushed the envelop a bit but I am helping my body. Today is November 27th and already I am noticing a change in the size of my body. My arms and shoulders seem to be shrinking before my eyes. My post op doctors appointment with my surgeon is Monday November 30th and I cant wait to see how much weight I have lost!!! I'll keep you posted when I get my 12 post surgery weight loss.
