"I saw the Dr in an office in Park Plaza in the Med Center. The reception area was rather spartan and my guess was that it was a newly added location. The actual examining office appeared well equipped. The Dr and staff were friendly and patient in explaining options and procedures. I was denied after the first letter. The denial letter took 30 days to arrive from the insurance. I thought there was no hope because they told me they don't approve Adjustable lap band surgery and suggest I try the alternatives. After care was strongly emphasized during the initial consultation. The surgical risks were clearly spelled out in the usual manner, up to and including death. "
