The Second Month

Dec 27, 2006

Today is December 27th and my 60 day drs appointment was on December 22nd.  I went from 256 lbs to 210 in less then 60 days.  I was kinda hoping to be 200 lbs by Christmas but that was not the way it is.  I have not had any "dumping" of any kind.  Unfornately I have found out that sweets are not my enemy and I can eat them....slowly.

I am feeling good.   My clothes are begining to become lose on me.  Some people seem to see the change and others do not.   I had lunch with some friends I haven't seen in a year and they did not notice.  Oh, well.

I just wish my pants would hurry up and fall off so I have an excuse to go shoping.

I will add a picture soon to go with this blog.

The First Month

Dec 01, 2006

Today is December 1st 2006.  It has been 31 days since my surgery.  On October 30th 2006, I had my surgery feeling scared and helpless.  31 days later I am begining to feel better.   The year leading up to the surgery has been a tuff one.

I had to stop smoking...so I stopped smoking September 19th 2005.  Then I got Veritgo, with some sort of inner ear problem, had to take alot of motion sickness pills just to make it though the day.   I was tired, sick, and pissed off at the world.

That happended 03/29/2006.   I stayed in a zombie like state until July 2006 when my husband who is a diabetic decided to take my sugar..it was 365.   I went to my dr.s and they did a test and sure enought I was also a diabetic.

So I took these meds for the diabetics, hight blood pressure, motion sickness pills, and colestrol pills every day.   My zombie like state began to improve enough for me to feel like have more test down to get this surgery.

By the end of august I had all my test completed and I had to get a date with my dr. for surgery.   I got the dr. date on Sept 15th 2006 and had my operation on Oct 30th.   The reason I waited so long was the dr was going on vacation for two weeks in oct.   i wanted to make sure he was going to be around if I crashed after he operated on me.  That's why i waited.

I didn't need to worry.....every has turned out fine.   I no longer take anyking of pill, except suppements and reflux.   I do not feel zombie like at all.

My husband has been the rock for me.  He has stood by me and make me soft scrambled eggs.   He's my hero.   Without his help I would be doing as well....and I feel great and I want this feeling to last forever.
