Well I made it through surgery ! !!!

I made it! I had surgery on the 13th of April and today is the 4-18-09. The surgery went well. Definately more painful than I was expecting, and harder to get in all the fluid i'm supposed to. But I am trying. I have not really lost any weight since surgery but I am not worried. I am sure my whole body is in shock at this point and just needs to adjust. I am looking forward to trying some soft foods anything but just water and protein drinks.

I will be having my RNY in 3 days, i am also on day 7 of the liquid diet. This liquid diet is for the birds. Everything I smell and see is making me hungry. I am now down to 267 which is 26 lbs lost. Well back to getting every thing wrapped up for this surgery, Bye for now.

Happy Birthday to me.
I am on day 3 of my liquid only diet. I have to say that it is getting easier with every day that passes. If I do get hungry I just mix up some protein powder, ice, and skim milk in the blender and it tastes like a creamy milkshake, Yummy! I am 8 days away from surgery. I am no longer nervous because i was thinking if I didn't have the surgery I would be stuck the way that I am. I do not want to be obese the rest of my life. I want to live life to the fullest and do the activities that thinner people do. Well I now weigh 271. I started out at 293 so I am already feeling better with less weight on my knees and feet.

I went to my first consult 2-4-09, my insurance approved my surgery 2-25-09, I will be going to my presurgical class 3-12-09, and hopefully I will get a surgery date soon. Everything is going so fast. My Dr. wants me to lose 20lbs before surgery and as of today 3-3-09 I am down about 10lbs.
I'm on my way to a better life!!!!!

I have always been overweight. I have 3 children, and with each pregnancy I gained about 70lbs, so needless to say I am very overweight at this point.
I have been thinking about having surgery for about 7 years now but never had insurance that would cover it. I finally do and I am ready to do this.
