These Shoes are Made For...

Oct 03, 2008

Being pre-surgery, I have been dilligently working at taking good care of myself; I walk every day. Until last week, I was the proud owner of a second hand pair of white leather Nike walking shoes. They fit, and for the amount of time I spent actually wearing them, they were PERFECT. Sure they had a little dust on them, but they did the job. Then I decided to join the YMCA, and walk outside every day. The second time I rolled over onto my ankle I decided I was done with the Nikes.

I did some research, and purchased a lovely pair of Asics Nimbus running shoes. They're a great neutral pronation shoe, and they're kickass quality. I bought last year's model for 100 bucks off. They're fabulous!

Only one hitch. I think I'm superwoman, so I walk as fast as I can. I mean granny fast. About 10 minutes into my walk the other day, I feel insane pain in my shins and ankles. I walk it off - I'm superwoman, remember? Well apparently not - I need to warm up a little slower, so no more Madonna to start my workout on my ipod! We'll see how starting slower works - tomorrow.

Cheers
