Good MORNING fellow October BABY!!!! - and an early Happy ONE YEAR Re-birthday to you!!! I’ll be in sunny Las Vegas for a week so I wanted to send you early salutations! I found this quote and just love it! When running up a hill, it’s alright to give up as many times as you wish – as long as your feet keep moving. By - Shoma Morita M.D. I can only imagine that your experience has been wonderful. Full of changes and new experiences. Congratulations to YOU!!! If you have an opportunity and/or haven’t already, please stop by and update your profile! We’d all love to know how well you’ve progressed!!! If you have a few moments, please take the time to send well wishes to your fellow “re-birthday” buddies!!! It’s a great boost to them as well as yourself. I'd also like to invite you to participate in the October 2003 message board. We do have activity and enjoy hearing from our peers! Have a FANTASTIC DAY! RNY 10/31/03 down 121 pounds and at GOAL!!! - I do hope that with all the recent storms to hit the south that you, your family or friends have not been too damaged by it all.

Hi Lois, I personally believe that WLS has a pre-determine amount of discomfort built into it that every single patient has to live through no matter what. Lucky you, you are getting all of yours out of they way early! Things will get better! Get well soon. Pam German

Lois is having a rough go of it. Her bladder was "dropped" from the position it was in and the surgeon nicked it when he tried to do it LAP. So due to that and scar tissue had to go open. She is in pain and is spitting up some blood. She really needs our prayers and support. Also, now she will have to go home with the cathetur(sp?)too. Says she may get to go home on Wed. We are printing her surgery pages to send to her so please send her a message of encouragement and support!! Happy Losing!!

i just spoke to Lois' husband and he told me she came through surgery well, although he hasnt been able to see her yet. They were unable to do LAP due to scar tissue from prev surgeries. The open only took a couple hours. I will post more, when I talk to them this eve. Happy Losing,
