My friend and I joined a local biggest loser contest to continue our journey to a healthier life. We both had WLS (her - Oct 09 and me April 2010). Our team once weighed a total of 800 pounds and to date we have lost approximately 280 pounds which is a significant accomplishment for us. We need the guidance of this program to help us to maintain that progress toward our weight loss goals. Over the years, we both suffered various health problems that were related to our obesity. Since beginning this journey toward a healthier lifestyle, our medical issues have greatly decreased and the number of medications has been reduced. Although we have made great progress, we have reached a point where it is harder to lose weight. We need the encouragement, support and involvement of the New Year, New You contest to provide us with the impetus to keep going without becoming discouraged. In the end, we hope to inspire others to obtain a healthier lifestyle. We will never give up and it is our hope that no one ever gives up on us!Here is how you can vote.
