I haven't been on this site in forever, thought it was time for an update.  Since my last post I've had two kids, Sam 3 yrs and Justin 3 months.  I'm five years post WLS and I've been able to maintain my weight loss even after the pregnancies.  I've never regretted having this surgery, it has changed my life.

Wow, it has been almost a year since I posted, I didn't realize it had been that long! I ended up beyond my surgeons goal weight at 160. I reached that at about November of last year and kept it off until about two months ago because I am now pregnant! I am due in October. So far I have gained 14lbs. Not too bad since I only have about 14 weeks to go. It is weird to see the scale moving upward for the first time in two years, but I can't avoid it.

This is still the best thing that I ever decided to do. I am thrilled with my new body and so glad that food no longer has that hold over me. I make much better choices and am able to now keep my weight in check, it is great.

Best of luck to anyone who is starting this journey!

Just past the one year mark! I can't believe how fast the time went by. I am down 124lbs since surgery!! It is unbelievable. I am so happy I did this. Feeling great!

I am nearly to the seven month mark and am down 93lbs as of today. Nearly to the century club, I can't believe it. I really need to get an updated pic added to my profile, it is quite a difference. I am doing much better with my protein, and my last blood tests showed that which is great. I am feeling wonderful! I am working on getting better at exercising, and that is going good. I love the 'walk away the pounds' dvd. It is a good workout. A friend of mine suggested it and I really like it. I have found that most foods sit pretty well with me and it has been a long time since I was sick from eating something. I do have to remember to not snack - especially when I am bored. I am still so glad that I did this! I feel better than I have in nearly ten years. I am so much happier with myself and physically feel so much better. This is just fantastic. I have no regrets at all!

I have just passed the 4 month mark. I have lost 66 pounds total and am down to 226. It is awesome. I feel great and everything is going well. I struggle to get the protein in every day, but am doing a lot better and make it most days. I am so happy that I did this.

Had surgery on 08/11 (wed) and came home on Friday afternoon. Everyone at the hospital was wonderful. The treatment I received was great, I was so impressed. It was my first hospital stay ever, and I was very nervous, but because everyone was so great, it made things so much better. I had no complications, and so far the liquid diet is going okay. I haven't felt sick at all, just tired. It hurts getting up and down, but other than that I feel pretty good. Right now I am just concentrating on following the program and getting all of my protein in. But I am starting to think about the weight loss and what that is going to mean to me. This sugery is such a wonderful thing. I can't wait to see the wieght start coming off. I can't wait to get rid of back pain and tiredness!

Wow, less than two weeks to go. I met with the nutrionist and she gave me a list of shopping items and went over the vitamins that I will need to take. After I left my meeting with her, I realized this is really happening! It has been a long wait for this, and now it is just around the corner. Thanks to everyone who has signed my support page. Everyone is so great here!

After what seems like forever, I finally have a surgery date. I almost can't believe it. August 11th. I am a little nervous, but I know that this is what I want.
