A few days can be wonderful

Sep 26, 2009

just friday, I wasn't  feeling very well at all. Today I'm a whole new person. No all the pain is not gone and I definitely can't pick up heavy things or stay up too long without being winded and sleepy but It is still so much better than what I was. So its been 10 days since surgery I have lost approx 10 pounds. I couldn't go another day without chewing on something so I had 3 tiny bites of scrambled egg. I don't even like eggs like that but it was just the best thing ever. Those few bites lasted me most of the day. I still drank protein drinks  and water, not because I wanted it. The miracle with this band is at this moment I don't want anything to eat. I've never been one to refuse food but now I can see someone eating and not begin to salivate. For example, I went to a party yesterday. They were eating alot of everything.  I was watching them chow down and while I had spoon full of hotdog chilli it had me think. Did I really used to eat like that? Because I was now looking from the outside it looked as if the consumption of food was massive!  How wide they opened their mouths and stuck half a hot dog in there.... Then it seems as if to continue for hours. Yes, that's an exaggeration but it seems that just the amount over the period of time was extraordinary.  Then I thought some more...-I've always ate WAY more than any of them- WOW!!!
