Met with Dr. Schmidt

I met with Dr. Schmidt today and we went over the different options for WLS.  Dr said I am a good canidate for either RNY or the LAP band.  I am leaning more toward the RNY just for the simple fact that the weight loss is a little faster. 

He scheduled me for a Gastroscopy a.k.a. endo.    He wants to get a look at my insides so he can determine whether or not I have any stomach ulcers that will need to be addressed prior to surgery.  This procedure is scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2009.  I'm not sure about the time yet, I guess the hospital calls me the day before to tell me when to be there.

My appointment with the nutritionist is on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 @ 1:30 PM.  I am very excited to start this journey!
