Dearest Kathy~~~~~~I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I cannot imagine losing a child, this has to be the WORST thing a Mom could ever have happen to her. You are in my prayers. God Bless YOU! Congratulations on your success. You are a beautiful woman and an inspiration to me. I see my surgeon Feb 4 for my initial consultation. peace karen byers

Hi this is me!! Im now 16 monthe post op. Just saw dr. last Tuesday, says I'm doing great!! I have followed his instructions to the T.. I think that is what has made me successful. I dont ever want the weight back again. I feel like a new person.. and full of energy. Society is not kind to heavy people.. and I think that is a shame. I have been through somany changes this past year. My son started the procedure to have surgery a year before me.. but had to buck the system and i went almost a year before him. so it took him about 2 years to get there. He had every problem and then some.. Finally August 22, 2002, he had intestional bypass. They said that was done because he was so heavy (606) that they wanted to ge 400 lbs off him , then reverse it to gastric. He lost 125lbs. the first month and felt the best he'd felt in years. Suddenly he started feeling bad.. to make a long story short, he lost his potasium and they couldn't get it back into him fast enough.. His heart just stopped, I lost him October 3rd. He was just the best son in the world.. Our children are not supposed to go before us. My life is forever changed. Sooo please if your considering this surgery or any surgery.. Follow Dr. instructions!!! They know what their talking about!! If ever have questions please email me. [email protected]
