Hello everyone. My name is Marisa, but they call me MiMi. I am currently 20 years old and a junior at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. I am originally from Whiteville, NC but now reside in Lumberton, NC. I don't have any kids, just a 3 year old chihuahua named Tinkerbell. I recently underwent the laporscopic roux-en-y gastric bypass on May 22nd, 2007. I was 5'7" and 296 pounds. When I was a month out I was already down 30 pounds. It seems to be a very long and slow process, but I am getting weight loss results. My main problem area was around my waist, which was always hidden under my clothes, therefore people never really believed I was as big as I really was. I was in a size 22 before my surgery and now I am wearing anywhere between a 16 and a 18. If any one has any tips, suggestions, or questions feel free to send me a message!
