Today is a good day!! I have reached the 50 pound mark!!  I have never lost 50 lbs in my life, so I just thought this was an exciting milestone to share!! 

So I'm kinda bummed today. I live in Houston and my husband and I planned a vacation today through Sunday.  We had first planned to go camping in the hill country but looking at the 7 day forecast it was most likely going to be raining.  So our backup plan was to drive to San Antonio go to Fiesta Texas and hang out in SA for the weekend.  Keeping an eye on the weather seems that wasn't happening either.  It's pouring cats and dogs here, so even Splashtown or Schlitterbahn in Galveston is out of the question.  I had put in for my days off last month and was unable to change it since we have several nurses taking vacation this month.  So needless to say, I am home with no plans.  I guess I can relax and enjoy the time with my kids at home - for that I am grateful.  But what I was looking forward to since losing weight was not being as self-conscious in a bathing suit as I was before or embarrassed because I had to SQEEEEZE into a seat on a ride at Fiesta Texas. Oh well, C'est la vie - tomorrow I am taking the kids to see Despicable Me... at least we can't get rained out of there!
