Stephen G. Boyce

"Seemed competent. Didn't have a lot of one on one time with him. I met him at my consultation, then again in the surgery holding room the day of my surgery and then he checked on me the two mornings I was in the hospital after surgery. So not much one on one but I was confident with his program so it's a give and take situation. His staff is pleasant and you have to commit to the program for after surgery!!! To me surgical competence was most important so I felt comfortable going in the day of surgery. I had more pain than I had anticipated. I wish someone would have stressed how much my G-tube would hurt... that more than anything. Still hurts almost a week out! But I know everyone is different. Since surgery, every time I meet with Dr. Boyce, I am a little more impressed. He is warm and concerned. All in all I have been very pleased..."

Fort Sanders Parkwest Hospital

"Very competent. The hospital uses bariatric beds for the patients. I, however, wasn't given one of these due to the fact that I was on the 'smaller' side. Well one of the beds stayed in the hallway the entire time unused so I thought that would have been helpful in my recovery. Instead I had to twist and turn in order to stand up. That and they promised me more Jello and didn't bring it... those were my only complaints."
