Toby Broussard

"I did not go see Dr Broussard for surgery. My RNY was done 10+ years ago and I have found myself sick and unable to eat for the past several months. After tests, it was found that I have gerd and an ulcer in my pouch. I also have horrid dumping and intestinal problems. I heard they had a good program, so I decided to seek the good Doctors help. If you want someone to hold your hand and tell you that nothing is your fault, don't see Dr Broussard. I am one who believes in personal accountability, and knew I had no idea how to fix this on my own, so his honesty was refreshing. He informed me that the condition of my pouch was completely self induced. There were many rules that I have not followed (several of them I actually wasn't aware of). He set me on a course for success, using his entire staff. I saw the exercise people and found the intensity of my current workouts are actually too high. I saw the nutritionist and found out what vitamins I need to be successful and feel good for life. Then I was put on an eating plan to try to keep my pouch happy, while also getting my metabolism out of shutdown mode. I have only been eating one meal a day, and my body is holding on to everything I give it. I am on 4 protein shakes/soups/cocoa's per day, and one meat at night consisting of low fat protein and vegetables. His belief is, I will feel like a new woman in a month. I was worried about putting anything in my pouch that often, but so far, it isn't making me any sicker. I appreciate the Weight Wise team for being honest and compassionate when I needed direction. For any of you considering RNY, please educate yourself on the do's and don'ts. I am a shining example of what you can do to yourself if you go into denial about having a gastric bypass and try to live like you did before surgery."

Henry Pearce

"I haven't met Dr Pearce yet but have an appointment to go to his March 2002 seminar. I know he has many years of experience and has a very loyal following. UPDATE 3/12/02 I went to the seminar tonight and just LOVE Dr. Pearce. He seems to cover all the bases in getting patients informed. He seems sweet and sincere. My husband and I both agree he is the best choice for me. He covered all of the risks and really knows what he is talking about after 25+ years of doing this surgery. His office staff is great too. UPDATE 5/04/02 What can I say about Dr Pearce? He is just wonderful. He took great care of keeping my family informed during and after surgery and came to see me every day in the hospital. I just LOVE him. Having him take care of my surgery was nothing short of a gift from God, and this isn't just the pain pills talking. heehee!"

Edmond Medical Center

"The hospital is NEVER fun but they did try to make me as comfortable as possible. The Nurses and CNA's were WONDERFUL!!! I loved them all."
