I will be 45 in about 2 weeks. I am a married mother of 2 beautiful girls. My husband Lester and I live in St. Peters. I have an 8 yr old daughter named Mary that is some days my best friend and other days my worst nightmare. But I love her just as she is. My other daughter just turned 4. She was my miracle baby. Her name is Rebecca Rose but we all call her Becca. She is the light of my life. She has the best little personality.
I have been overweight since I was a pre-teen. Slowly the weight has creeped up. The best weightloss I ever experienced was getting pregnant with Becca. I weighed exactly the same the day I delivered as I did the day I got pregnant. Sadly, I now weigh almost 10 pounds more than that.
I have been a diabetic for over 12 years. Obviously since I am severly obese, this is becoming a health issue for me. About a year ago I started my journey. I started researching and found out that I needed to find an insurance that would cover the surgery. Once I got that in place, it took me several months to get it all together. I finally went to my all day class on Nov 2, and was shocked to find out that my surgery date was set for 11/17! So that is where I am ...nervously, anxiously, awaiting the date.
