After battling severe digestive and multitudes of comorbid issues, I decided the have WLS. Dr Higa performed RY September of 2007. I was a high risk patient needing to have Lap Nissen reversed (for acid reflux), hiatal hernia repair, then proceed with Bypass.
My original goal was to weigh 200 lbs, or be a perfect size 16. As of today (Jan '08), I have lost a total of 140 lbs and wear size 6!!!!! I feel very blessed and credit Dr. Higa for doing such a wonderful job with the surgery. I love the feeling of being free from the shackles of uncontrollable eating and unhealthy food and lifestyle choices.
