My surgery was on Wednesday 8/17 went without any major hitches or complications. 
After the surgery, I was able to get up and walk around and did have some pain but nothing extreme.

How do I feel??? 
-- a little tired
-- constipated
-- achey
-- full
-- gassy
-- sleepy

Emotionally - how do I feel?
-- happy
-- stressed because of work
-- hopeful
-- optimistic :o)

I'll make sure to update as I go along and i'm also thinking about doing a video blog...

ok... without the cheesy lyrics - my day is finally here!  I'm scheduled for surgery tomorrow at 11:00 am.  I'm so excited and am sure that everything will go smoothly and I'll be up and out of the hospital in a few days.

Wish me luck!! 

After a few delays, my surgery date is almost here!  

1st Delay - My employer asked me to push back a month due to our ramping up the business.
2nd Delay - Hospital doublebooked so I had to push it back another week.

No biggie, these are just speed bumps on my trip to better health.  :o)

My New surgery date is finally 8/17 at NE Baptist Hospital in San Antonio.  I had a chance to go visit the site and the Bariatric unit.  It was fantastic!  They have a 1 nurse to 1 patient ratio, the whole unit specializes and caters to only Bariatric patients.

Only downside is that I'm on a business trip all week and it's been super hard being good :o(

Dear Universe....
Why are you such a jerk?  I survived a heart problem.  I survived cancer.  I survived a hysterectomy.  Yet you almost kill me with a stress test!!  After almost passing out after an EXCRUTIATING 10 minutes... you have to add insult to injury by having an elderly man (who I swear was 150 years old) effortlessly jog next to me and finish his without even breaking a sweat.

Luckily I passed with flying colors and am glad that i'll have a strong healthy heart to aid me in my recovery!
