"I have been seeing Dr. Fishman for abou 13 years so he has known me most of the year I have been overweight. At first he was not supportive of WLS at all - especially the gastric bypass, but when I discovered the lapband, I really wanted his support in making it happen. He did not say no out-right so I took it as an opportunity to educate him about another alternative. Everything I learned I shared with him, every hand out I got, I got one for him.
