OMG! Its a Shame I've not written in SO long!
Mar 07, 2009
I'm doing fine! I seriously can't believe it's been so long since I've updated my blog. It's been a year and almost 3 mos since surgery "already"! Weight loss has SERIOUSLY slowed down, but I'm still so far in the right direction! I'm just a little over 200 lbs still so I've made that my current goal to go below 200! Whoa... I can't imagine the day~I've recently as in last week started re-focusing on protein shakes and honestly it does help. Keeps you full for one thing, but also ensures you get the vitamins etc your body needs. I've been drinking low-carb slim fast...not too bad and 20g per can.
I've lost let's see... at least 115 lbs to date... maybe a couple more so I'm definitely sssssssssssoooooooo much happier than I was "weight-wise" a year prior. I have some size 14 pants I can wear (zip and everything ha) but I still have a lot of size 16s I wear. The zipper part is a huge deal as I'm sure many of you are aware because back in the day.... zippers weren't even a part of my wardrobe =) I can't imagine even bothering to have a zipper in a pair of pants so large, but then there is the risk of a blow out ha ha!
I've definitely learned that eating smaller portions no matter what it is will help you loose. I wasn't able to eat meat and various other things til almost 7 months out and lost so I typically still go with this mentality. I'm trying to be more continuous now of what I'm eating though because I still have a ways to go. I haven't really exercised too much either so now that it's getting hotter... I can do yard work, walk more and I bought an exercise machine today (Gazille), so hope to use it!
Good luck to everyone!
