"The Lethbridge Herald (Sherri Gallant) ran a story (04/14/06/) on a patient who remained anon. She had the bypass in November of 2005 only to discover that she was pregnant. After consultation, she went to Calgary to have an abortion. She has filed a complaint with the Physicians and Surgeons which was news to Dr. Nohr. He was sorry she had done that because he would have liked to help her. She complained that she wasn't given adequate information for post diet other than "no sugar" but wanted to know whether she could have pop and sugar because she really likes it. She has lost 60 pounds by the time the article was written but said she was depressed.
I feel for this woman, it's got to be tough, but we need to be more responsible. Getting pregnant was very reckless and 100% avoidable - plus complaining that she wants pop and sugar says that this woman seems to be self sabotaging. Post-op and post abortion is not fun but I wonder how depressed this woman would be anyway?"
