I want to thank everyone for their help. Because of all of your hits on the News Channel 5 website and my story, they have assigned a person to put pressure on my insurance company to get the plastic surgery paid for. Max, I hope you're proud of what you've accomplished. I developed some serious problems of my own and haven't been able to track your progress since your surgery. But today I finally got here and you deserve a huge hug for your sweet wife. (I'm sure she is doing a good job of that and taking care of you.)And if I were there, I'd ask her to let me hug you too!!!

Hi Max, just checking up on your profile page to see how you're doing, glad to see things are going so well for you. I had my surgery the same day as you, I've lost just about 60 pounds now, which I am pleased with. I don't throw up anymore, my energy is much better, and I'm very glad I did this. Good luck to you and Darlene on the rest of the journey!

Hi there you two! How is things going? Wanted to drop you a note and let you know I think I have finally concored cigarette smoking. It's been 4 days now and still smoke free! Im so excited that I may actually succeed this time. How are you feeling Max? Darlene wearing you out on those walks daily? Lol. My love to you both and keep in touch! {{{{HUGS}}}}

Max Thanks for the note. As you know, my surgery was 7/01 and I believe I have lost 40 pounds. I am always afraid to say definitely because I still can't believe it. I could eat food now, but am very apprehensive. I didn't have a bad moment up until last Friday. No nausea, no dry heaves, no vomiting, etc. I am incredibly lucky. Friday I decided to take some bites of real food and was pretty stupid. I had several bites of a chili dog and wanted to die. I need to work through this fear of eating not because I don't if I do it right, I will be o.k. I am doing o.k. post op except for a slight infection at the site. Hello Max, My name is Kathy. I read your journey with the surgery you certainly are an amazing person. You have done so well. I am waiting to meet the surgeon. Oh well enough about me. Hi Max, Thanks for the post & well wishes. I had my surgery on July 23rd at Cleveland Clinic. My surgery was done lapriscopically. I never really had much pain after surgery because I don't have a large incision. I have 5 very small puncture like wounds. I have just had to deal with fatigue and a little bit of nausea. I feel the weakest in the morning and then by afternoon or evening are much better. I pray your recovery will go very well for you and you get the results you are working so hard to achieve. You should be very proud of yourself for taking command of your problem and choosing to deal with it. God bless.†††

Hello to the both of you! I just stopped by your profile to see if there was any new posts yet{gotta keep my eye out for my fav-o-rite persons}and my heart just MELTED when I read your post! I have NEVER been refered to as anyones angel before and I tell you what, you made my day! That was the sweetest thing I ever read....But honestly, it all came from the heart. I wish only the best for you both of you and I know the Lord is good and will continue to Bless the both of you. Through him ALL things are possible!
