"I can't say enough good things about Dr. Johnson and my experience with the rest of the Unity staff. From the time I first met with him he made me feel very comfortable, was very open in the discussions about what surgery he felt would be best for me and always willing to listen and respond to my questions.
About a week after surgery I had a day when I slept way too much, didn't get my water in, and ended up with a fever. I wasn't sure specifically what was up at the time and paged Dr. Johnson (the Unity surgeons give you their pager numbers when you leave the hospital). He personally called back and figured it was caused by mild dehydration. I did get scolded a bit for not getting my water in, and after assuring me I would be fine he did follow up to make sure I was back on track.
I now go back and speak at the intro sessions they have for their Post-Op Q&A and see Dr. Johnson on a regular basis. He always takes a moment to say hi and ask how I am doing and has been very encouraging when he found out I am now seeking a career in nutrition. I've met all the doctors at the Unity program and they're all great, but I am very glad I had Dr. Johnson as my personal surgeon."
