I've never really been good about talking myself. But I figured I'd give this a shot. My name is Megan and I'm 20 years old. I've been extremely overweight my entire life. I don't ever remember being small as a child. My journey with WLS began late last year when I moved out to Arizona from Georgia. My sister, Shannon, had the surgery a few years before and her results have been great. I'd thought about having Gastric Bypass since I was 17 and when I moved out here I was able to pursue my dream. Shannon was great in helping me get on the right track. She took me to my frist seminar and introduced me to her amazing friends (who also had the surgery) and I immediately felt like I belonged. She helped me get all the papers that I needed and helped me make and get to all of my appointments. After submitting my paperwork to insurance I had an approval a few weeks later. My surgery date is scheduled as December 11th and I can't wait!!
