1 year and 8 months out
Apr 25, 2009
I can not believe it has been almost 8 years since surgery! I have kept off most of the weight, but am NOT happy with my weight gain of about 40 pounds in this last 3 years. Little by little I have begin to gain and gain. How depressing! After losing 100-105 lbs. I only really started exercising about a year ago! BIG mistake! I wish I had started exercising right after that first month when I started feeling better. What a disservice to myself! Now it is harder to get motivated since the weight is coming back on. I do eat too much at meal times and I also am able to eat more and more sugar as the years go by without too much dumping. I still get it (dumping) if I eat too much food and sugar at one time. But I have learned to "break it up" into small increments so that doesn't happen, and still eat as much as I want. NOT a GOOD idea! I have started Weight Watchers two times in the last two years and have not had much success. Not a surprise! So I am on that slippery slope again and trying to keep from falling. I am still in a size 14 and sometimes a 16 (which I do NOT like). It is much better than a 22-24! But still not good when I had made it into a 12 sometimes!I am going on a cruise in July and hope to have slimmed down at least 10 lbs by then. Some great motivation-just to eat on the cruise! Not Good reasoning I know!
I did have a body lift in 2006 and it was the WORST surgery of all the others I've had combined! They took off 13 lbs of fat, but boy I paid (physically) for that surgery for about 8 months of healing! It was horrible! If I had to do it again I would just get the tummy tuck alone! I had a breast reduction/lift in 2004 and that was a piece of cake and wish I had done that YEARS ago. Still loving that one.
That is my update for now, hope to have better news in the near future! Keep pressing on!
