surgery day came, April 23. I was pleasantly suprised that I had lost 21 pounds the past week and would be going into my surgery at a weight of 359. My surgery was scheduled fro 1:00 PM but the operating room was running almost 2 hours behind. My surgeon came in twice apologizing and tried to make sure I was doing fine.
The last thing I remember before going under was being intriduced to Jarred -- my surgeon's P.A. He told me that he had not met me yet but that things were going to be fine and just relax. As it turns out, Jarred was the first person I saw in the recovery room also. My surgeon has discussed that he may do a gastric sleeve if things did not look right --- but I could tell by Jarred's look that things went great. My surgeon was out of town the day following my surgery so it was Jarred who really answered all of my questions... he was very reassuring and I really thought highly of him. I was very fortunate to have him on my team
Well my weight this morning is 350.... so I am down 30 pounds from the highest. Probably going to stop the daily weigh in s -- as alot of people on this site is telling me not to.... Go in on Wednesday to remove staples and JP tube... Feel great. Hvae been off pain medication since last night. Slept great last night!
