I was born in a log cabin I helped my father build...OK, just kidding. I grew up on the central coast of California, lived up to the expectations of an Eagle Scout only too well. I put on plenty of pounds, and even though they came off with conventional dieting and exercise, did not achieve lasting results. So, here I am. Years later, carrying extra weight, so I took the plunge and had gastric bypass. I'm generally happier, and definitely healthier, than I was before surgery. I run the stairs at work, now, and it feels good. I'm a Bariatric Surgery Coordinator, and any less than optimal outcome bumms me out. I love my patients, I care about my patients.
