Today I met my surgeon for the first time and enjoyed the meeting very much. Dr. Higa comes with very high recommendations form my primary care doctor, friends at work and a psychologist so I have a feeling I have made a good choice on who will be performing my procedure. I was a little down when they too my height and weight, I was shorter than I used to be a heavier than I have ever been in my life!! I am up to 301 pounds!
  I have already done the philological, nutritionist, sleep study, physical and gotten the blessing of my primary doctor so now the next step is to wait for the insurance. The surgeon told me that takes two to three weeks to get an authorization then they will schedule my surgery. I don’t see having any problems with my insurance since I have co-workers that have had no problem, and we have the same insurance. 
Now I am figuring on having this done sometime around the first of the year since the doctor is very busy. A few weeks ago I was told they were already scheduling for November so I would guess they are into December or January at this point. Since I have five kids I would rather not be laid-up over the Holidays so we shall see what they come up with in a few weeks. 
I am very nervous and excited at the same time and I hope that I will get a lot of support from friends, family and all of you on this site. I welcome all suggestions and insights in to what I am about to go though so if any of you have any advice please feel free to share it with me!
