Having Revision on July 15th.

Jun 22, 2008

It has been a while, since my last update here.... but I do read many of the posts daily... and learn so much, even after being almost 4 years post-op!  I just leared that I am approved for the ROSE Revision, and the date will be on July 15th.  This will make my pouch smaller and also the stoma, which is to big... I feel blessed and excited for this to come together.... I have my surgeon and his wonderful staff to THANK... as they all do such great work, and really care for their patients.... again, it is a true blessing! I go for my pre-op visit with the surgeon on July 3rd. and will make another post then.... Blessings to all here on ObesityHelp!!!

A New Journey

Apr 20, 2007

April 20th.  2007
I am at the point of starting a new journey, as over time, I have gained some weight back.  My surgeon did an Endoscopy a few weeks ago, and it shows that my stoma is twice as big as it should be, and the pouch is slightly stretched.   Some of this, goes back from the complications and repairs I had back in 2004... See my story, for all that information.  I begin the process of getting things lined up for Psycological, Exercise, and Nutritional Support.  This will be a three month process, and I am eager to put forth much effort, so that I can get back to where I need to be... Since my original surgery, my Diabetes has been under control and I have had to take nothing... it remains great!  However, my blood pressure is still high... and I hope, a revision can help that to become lower... that would be awesome!  I will post more later... as the new beginnings take place.... I can also say, I am well pleased with Dr. Voellinger and his staff at SEB... they are like family... they care deeply for us.... and I am so glad to have them on my side!  Mike
