My story is pretty similar to many on this wonderful site.  I've been heavy all my life.  At the age of 10, I weighed 160lbs.  Two short years later, I weighed 205.  By the time I graduated high school, I weighed 235.  2 years later I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and have been struggling to lose the pounds from pregnancy ever since.  Okay, okay, my beautiful baby girl is now 22 years old but that's besides the point.

My name is Kim and I am a junk food junkie.  HIII Kim!   If it's sweet, I'll eat it.  My motto used to be: If you eat desert first, you'll always have room for it.  How many times has your mom or grandmother told you to save room for desert?  I had the perfect solution to make sure I never missed desert.  Now I'm an M&M and a holiday away from 400lbs.  OMG, I said it!

I've been on every diet imagineable:  Nutrisystem (2x), Weight Watchers (4x), Herbalife (2x-over the years I lost the most weight with Herbalife.  I plan to use their soy based protein and meal replacement shakes to assist me after surgery.), Atkins, The Grapefruit diet, Fasting during the lent season with my church, Dexatrim, Slim-Slow, and other diets and schemes.  The weight would come off with many things I tried but the pounds became home sick and wanted to come back.  And wouldn't you know it, the pounds were so happy with their dwelling they told two friends and so on and so on.

Anywho, My daughter and I are on this venture together.  She will probably be scheduled for surgery by the beginning of November 07 and I believe I'll be looking at December 07.  She's such a doll.  I could not have been blessed with a more wonderful and supportive child!  Not to mention, she gave birth to my new football buddy.  She and I are having the surgery if for no other reason than to keep up with an athletic and active little boy.  In a nut shell that's all about me.

Thank you all for your posts, your thoughts and how you treat one another.  I like what I see on this site and I'm glad to be a part of such a wonderful "family".  God Bless You All!
