Mary is doing much better today. She was having a rough time yesterday with muscle spasms in her stomach and was on round the clock doses of valium and a morphine drip ranging every 7-10 minutes. The stomach muscle spasms were indredibly hard on her but she managed to get up and walk for a few minutes later in the afternoon. The hardest part was getting in and out of the bed. She called me to let me know she had gone without any valium for a 10 hour stint and they will be taking out the tube that's draining her stomach on Sunday. She's not feeling any pain other than the pain from the muscle spasms and that pain only comes and goes but is akin to the pain one would have when having had a c-section or contractions. Mary is due to be released from the hospital on Monday. There have been no complications to report. Unfortunately she wasn't able to get a private room like she was supposed to. Carle clinic is packed full it seems so she is currently sharing a room which is difficult to do in any situation while in the hospital. She thanks you all for the notes and well wishes. Her room number is 8867 and the address to the hospital is 602 W. University Ave. Urbana IL 61801. Ger room phone number is 217-383-6867. There have been a few problems with her phone not working properly so if you get a busy signal just try again.

I'm updating for all of you who are following My sister Mary's surgery. She got the call on Thursday evening that her surgery is scheduled to be first. She got her wish! She has to arrive at the hospital at 5:45 a.m. and the surgery will begin at 7:30 a.m. She said she is the most nervous/dreading the fact that she has to have a cathater more than anything! She really is taking the theme that something at the last minute is going to prevent the surgery from happening that she isn't allowing my dad to drive for fear that a car might break down and she's going so far to be the one to pick my parents up and drive them to the hospital herself! That's determination right there. I will be updating as much as possible for her until she's able to continue herself. As soon as I know the appropriate phone/fax/room numbers I will let you all know. Although mary said that my email would be posted, I have decided not to let her have her way and will not be posting my email address for privacy reasons. However, feel free to email Mary at her address listed and I will periodically check her email for her and print out all of your well wishes.

In all things Remember, that the one above loves you, that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you, that you be given strength, endurance, love, peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room, know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too. Happy soon to be ReBirthday.
