Thought I log a quick update. I'm 18 months out from VSG surgery and although most of what I've lost happened in the first 8 months, and I still have about 25 lbs to go until my first goal, I'm happy with my progress. Each month I maintain my weight or lose a pound. Although that is slow progress by many standards I feel accomplished. I've been through menopause and a couple of of big life events since surgery. I believe without the lifestyle changes I've made since I started planning VSG, and the surgery, of course, I would most likely weight nearly 300 lbs instead of the 165 I weigh now. Anyway, if anyone reads this and wonders if it's worth it, even if you don't become a size 4, for me it's a resounding "YES!".
