Went for my 2nd support group meeting.  it was nice... The first one was huge - way more people.  This one was smaller.  I think they need to go quicker with the intros, then let the 'newbies' ask their questions and concerns forst, and let the 'experts' help them out.  Once I get more acclimated, and actually have the surgery, I may say something.....
But Im on my way.

Was today at 10:00  It took one hour (not bad) and was pretty easy.  We had an initial 'investigation' and then I took a personality questionaire, and that was it.  Not bad, I just hope the insurance doesn't give me a hard time about paying it :)  He took it, but you NEVER know!!!!
 I have to send him a 20.00 copay cause he doesn't take debit credit cards.
Friday is the nutritionist appt.  More fun!
My weekend was COLD- Icky!!!

.....had surgery today.  I wanted to call her so bad, but I want to give her a day to recoup.  If the 12" of snow doesn't come, I will take a ride to the hospital....but if we get the 12" were expecting, I'm not sure if I will be able to make it, as its 25 mins from here.  I have been praying for her and hope she is well!!!
I can't rememeber if I mentioned this , but I called my insurance co. and WLS is a covered benefit :)  So It shouldn't be long once I get all the pre-approval stuff done and in so they can get the verbal approval.  Once that is done, I will inform my family(parents) and my boss of my descision.

...well it went wel.  He was a very nice, man.  I met w. the general nurse first to get the vitals.  Then Joy came in, and she talked to me, and gave me all the info, and 'stuff'.  Dr Denham was running late,but he twice came in to apologize and tell me he'll get in asap! (I've NEVER had a doc do that when running late!)

I weighed in at 262.5 and my height was 5'3.5 (lol)

My highest was 265 a couple weeks ago at my PCP office.

He also told me that my insurance has been the best, and no problems with them.  He also said he wamts me to get my information in ASAP before the end of the year.  

I felt very comfortable. I am pleased.

Hello,
I am so new here its not funny. :)  I am a 35 y/o mom of 2 great kids, a girl age 2.5 and a boy age 6.5.  Married to a great guy named Tim who loves me for who I am. He met me thinner, and has seen me go up and down and back up again, and loves me unconditionally.  I want to lose weight because I can't play with my kids, I am so lazy, the pain in my bones is getting unbearable,  the neck and lower back pain is crazy.  I need to live a long life, and I need a tool to help me do this.  I have been on too many diets and pills to list. And to no avail, Im at my highest weight ever. UGH!!!
However with that said, we will not be telling anyone about this surgery until I am 100% approved. 
Saying that-I will need my new friends to be here at OH.com, who can understand that. 
I will be also learning to have more faith in GOD to help me thru this.  I am not religious, but I love my god and know he will help me.
