I had Lap RNY on January 15th, 2007 at the Banner Good Samaritan Hospitol in Phoenix and Dr. Alexander Villares was my surgeon. My insurance is TriCare Prime. I started at 264lbs the day of surgery. Surgery and recovery went well for me. The first 3-4 days were trying with expected discomfort & pain in the upper abdomin, but as each day came and went the pain subsided and then it was gone. I have had no complications and it's been smooth sailing for me. I have not experienced any dumping either. I love the confidance & energy I have being 2+mos. post-op. I am already down 64lbs and it feels great to be on the losing side of life!
