Hi! I am Melissa, I am a mother of three beautiful kids; 2 girls and a boy. I raised my first 2 children by myself until I married my husband 7 years ago. I always lived a very active life, I guess married life will slow you down a bit! A year after my son was born I had to have a hysterectomy. Life after the surgery was like a whirlwind!! I could finally relate to my MOTHER!!! LOL! The weight progressive hid itself if different areas of my body...at first it wasn't so bad because I am pretty tall, once I hit 250 it was OVER for me. I tried so hard to loose the wieght but thanks to my hormones or lack there of...I gained 25 more pounds. I have not been the same person that I used to be in a long time! I miss playing with my kids, riding my bike, hiking, putting on a swimming suit and walking into the community pool (I hope by next summer when my son asks if I will take him swimming I can say yes!), working! I am a hair stylist, I have given up woking as one because it hurts so bad to be on my feet for so long! I hope that my journey takes me back to me!!! My surgery is on July the 21st and I am sooooo EXCITED!
