Well, hello and welcome to my blog.

This week has been a turning point in my wait for my Gastric surgery. I am having my operation done on the NHS, which means lengthy waiting lists, I have been waiting for this operation for nearly 5 years, 2 and half years ago I applied for funding from the Primary Care Trust and was turned down because I had no life threatening illnesses, i had perfect blood pressure, low cholesterol and no diabetes even though i weighed in the region of 400 pounds plus.

Jump to 2011 and I develop type two diabetes, I manage tose 25 pounds by myself through grit and determination. I went back on the list!!! I have been seeing a dietian, a psychologist, and the surgical team since then.

I jump to October 2013 and I saw the bariatric coordinator/nurse and my surgery is now scheduled for January although maybe earlier if they have a cancellation HURRAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THE PCT HAD APPROVED FUNDING!!!!!!!!!! DOUBLE HURRAH LOL
