Dr. Enoch's office called today to schedule my surgery.  They offered this Wednesday (two days from now) due to a cancellation.  I agreed to Wednesday.  I can not believe how fast things are moving!!  Maybe my weight will come off as quickly as the process.  Tomorrow I have my pre-op "stuff" to take care of as well as clear liquids only.  I have so much to do and not much time to do it.  I'll post when feeling up to it.  Please keep my in your prayers on Wednesday.

I can not believe it!  This is the best feeling in the whole world.  The doctor's office just called, and they received my approval letter.  I can not wait to begin a new chapter in my life.  The surgery coordinator will schedule me on Monday, but from what I have heard, the surgery should take place sometime this month!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had my results visit on Tuesday.  Everything went well, no surprises.  No abnormal results, good/clear for surgery.  The FNP reported they faxed all my documentation (41 pages) to insurance on Friday 8/31/07 and should hear something back this week.  I CAN"T WAIT!!!

My doctor's office called yesterday and said they have everything they need to submit to the insurance company for approval.  I am anxiously awaiting a call from my doctor's office.  I have my results visit scheduled for Tuesday, we'll see what they say on Tuesday.

I spoke to Dr. Enoch's office and have scheduled my results visit for Tuesday, September 4, 2007.  Not sure what will happen after that, I'll keep you informed.

I have completed the testing process of my journey.  The ultasound was a piece of cake.  The chest x-ray and upper GI came next.  Not too bad, can't say I enjoyed the Upper GI series, but at least it went quick.  Next came the PFT, a lot of blowing air.  It wasn't painful.  The RT had some concerns about the possiblity of asthma.  I had to have a nebulizer treatment.  Mainly the tests showed shortness of breath following exercetion.  NO kidding, I'm fat!! EKG was normal.  Final tests were blood work including the ABG.  That was painful, still hurts, but it's DONE!!  Now I wait to here from Dr. Enoch's office.  Not sure what happens next, hopefully I'll find out next week.

Had my psychological yesterday.  As far as I know, everything went well.  The psychologist was wonderful!  I loved her, would totally recommend her to everyone.  She said she would have my report to Dr. Enoch by the end of the month, she was very optimistic.  Next step, all my tests at Rex Hospital on the 24th.  Wish me luck, starting to get nervous!!

I met with the nutritionist today, pretty painless!!  It was 30 minutes, and $40 for her to give me a diet and list of foods to avoid after surgery.  Not too bad!  I have my psych. appt in two days and ALL my tests next Friday.  Wish me luck!

Angelica from Dr. Enoch's office called today.  They have scheduled me for the ultrasound, Upper GI, PST and lab work for August 24th at Rex Hospital.  I have scheduled myself to see the psychologist on August 15th.  I need to schedule the NUT visit.  I feel weird, excitied and nervous at the same time.  I'm sooo ready!

I had my initial appt with Dr. E today.  Things went well, he says I appear to be a good candidate for Lap-Band.  The nurse had my BMI as 41.5, I think it's a little high, but who am I to argue.  The Bariatric Coordinator will schedule me for labs within the next week and I will schedule myself an appointment with a psychologist and a nutritionist.  Keeping all my toes and fingers crossed through this process.  Will keep you updated as I progress!!
