I am 46 years old and I have been researching wls for over a year. This is something I have wanted to do, but more than that it is something I need to do. I have struggled with my weight for 10 years. Currently 240 at 5'6. My family Dr recommended it to me in Oct o6 but my husbands ins. Priority Health denied me. (My health was not as dangerous as they would have liked.) I have high chlosterol 295. I have heartburn constantly, my knees hurt and I am so short of breath I don't walk very far.
His insurance just changed to blue cross blue shield community blue ppo of michigan. I have been told this is a blessing..I have not checked with the ins company yet...I don't know what I will do if I get another rejection.
I have tried every diet known to man. I have been on so many diet pills and I refuse to take them again. I just want to be at a normal weight so I can enjoy my husband, children and grandchildren and live to see them grow up.
