Mona Hogan
Hello all, My name is Mona Wisnoki and this is my story. I am 35 years old I am married to my best friend. He has been so supportive through all of this. I have 1 stepson and a chocolate lab named Hershey. Now I will tell you about the start of my journey in WLS. My PCP suggested that I look in to it, he recommended Dr. Garth Davis. So I took my husband and my mom and dad with me to a seminar. When we walked out we were very impressed with this Dr. and for my dad to be impressed that means alot to me. So next I made an appt. with him to meet face to face. He was as nice then as he was in the seminar. I ask him a lot of questions and he awnsered them honestly. So next thing was talk to the insurane Co. BCBS/Tx. requires a 6 month diet, so that is what my next step was. I also had to attend a nutrion class. After all that Dr. Davis' office submitted it to insurance and within 2 weeks I received a call from Trisha saying " Mona you have been approved" I was in total shock I think all I could say is ohhh my god. And Thank you Jesus. So my surgery is scheduled for May 07,2008, I start my liguid diet on April 23,2008 and go from there. I am so thankful that I have been given this chance to change my life for the better. Also All the support that my family has given me in this journey. My mother has made every step of it with me, So THANK YOU MOM, I LOVE YOU more than you will ever know.
